These terms govern your use of the Medical Scout website and any data products or subscription services you purchase from us. By using our website or purchasing our products, you agree to these terms.

Medical Scout is a trading name of TQC Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15704673).

1. Our Services

We provide a subscription dashboard that delivers new CQC-registered healthcare facility data, enriched with contact information, company details, and operational intelligence. Data is sourced from publicly available UK records including the Care Quality Commission register, Companies House, Google Maps, and company websites.

2. Subscriptions and Free Trials

• Free trials last 14 days and provide full dashboard access
• No credit card is required for the free trial
• After the trial, you must upgrade to a paid plan to continue access
• Paid subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe
• You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of your current billing period

3. Acceptable Use

When you access data through our dashboard, you agree to:

• Use the data for lawful business purposes only
• Comply with UK GDPR, PECR, and all applicable data protection laws when contacting individuals or businesses in our data
• Not resell, redistribute, or sublicense our data to third parties without our written consent
• Not use the data for unsolicited consumer marketing (our data is B2B only)
• Include a working opt-out mechanism in any outreach you send using our data
• Not use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download data from our dashboard

We reserve the right to terminate your access if you breach these terms.

4. Data Accuracy

We take reasonable steps to verify the accuracy of our data, including cross-referencing multiple public sources and running verification checks.

However, business data changes constantly. Facilities open, close, and change contact details. We do not guarantee that every record will be accurate at the time you use it, and we cannot be held responsible for changes that occur after the data is published to our dashboard.

5. Payment

• Prices are quoted in GBP and exclude VAT unless stated otherwise
• Payment is processed securely via Stripe
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date
• We do not store your full payment card details

6. Refunds

Because our products are delivered digitally, we do not offer refunds for the current billing period. You may cancel at any time and your access will continue until the end of your paid period. This does not affect your statutory rights.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Our total liability to you for any claim arising from our services is limited to the total fees you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
• We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, including loss of profits, loss of business, or loss of data arising from your use of our products
• We are not liable for any losses arising from how you use the data we provide, including the results of any outreach campaigns you run

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website (text, design, code, branding) is owned by TQC Ltd. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute our website content without permission.

When you subscribe, you receive a licence to use the data for your own business purposes. You do not acquire ownership of the data itself.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
